Fall Baseball will include opportunities for players ages 4-15 years olds as follows:
Tee Ball (Pre-K - Kindergarten)
Tee Ball is an introductory level of baseball, designed for young children (typically ages 4-6) to learn the basic skills and love of the game. It focuses on fun, fitness, and fundamental skill development like hitting, fielding, and throwing. Games are often simplified with a tee used for hitting, and the emphasis is on instruction and positive experiences rather than competition.
Tee Ball Sessions will be on Sunday afternoons from 4:00pm-5:00pm at Deborah Sampson. The season will include 6 sessions running from Sunday, September 14, 2025 - Sunday, October 26, 2025. There will be no session on Sunday, October 12, 2025 due to the Indigenous People's Day holiday weekend.
This division will only run if there are enough registered players and volunteer parent coaches.
Instructional Intratown Baseball - Coach/Machine Pitch (Kindergarten with prior tee ball experience - Grade 1)
The Fall Instructional Intratown Baseball division is a transitional division, taking players from instructional tee ball to a slightly more structured level of developmental baseball, designed for players in Kindergarten and grade 1, preferably who have had tee ball experience, with coach-pitch or machine-pitch sessions, and an emphasis on developing fundamental skills like throwing, catching, and hitting. This division will also introduce basic baseball rules and game strategies such as outs, batting order, and base running. The focus will be on fun, fitness, athletic development, positive experiences, and building a love for the game, while beginning to develop a competitive spirit.
Sessions will be on Sunday afternoons from 5:15pm-6:15pm at the Deborah Sampson field complex. The season will run from Sunday, September 14, 2025 - Sunday, October 26, 2025. There will be no session on Sunday, October 12, 2025 due to the Indigenous People's Day holiday weekend. Sessions will include Sharon players only.
This division will only run if there are enough registered players and volunteer parent coaches.
Sharon Fall Baseball League (Grades 2-7)
The Sharon Fall Baseball League (SFBL) is a developmental intertown league, with all games played in Sharon against players from other nearby towns. The SFBL aims to provide a moderately competitive atmosphere where teams and players can practice their skills in live game situations, and enjoy the experience of competing against other towns, while balancing competing schedules with other fall sports.
The following divisions will participate in the SFBL:
AAA - Grades 2 & 3
Minors - Grades 3 & 4 (exceptions will be made for grade 5 players with little to no baseball experience)
Majors - Grades 5 & 6
Intermediate (50/70 diamond) - Little League 13 year olds (typically grade 7)
Practices will be held one or two weekday evening(s) / week for 90 minutes in Sharon, with the day to be chosen by the team head coach, with input from the assistant coaches.
All games will be held on Saturdays, either as a single game, or as a doubleheader, against teams from other towns. All games will be played at the Deborah Sampson field complex.
The season will begin September 8, 2025, with the first game(s) being played on Saturday, September 13, 2025, and the last game(s) being played on Saturday, November 1, 2025. There will be no game(s) on Saturday October 11, 2025 due to the Indigenous People's Day long holiday weekend.
All divisions are
player-pitch divisions.
Roster size is limited to 12 for AAA, Minors and Majors, and 13 for Intermediate. A waitlist will be initiated once we hit the max roster size for each division. If we receive enough player and volunteer registrations in any division to field more than one team, we will do so. Juniors Division - Big Diamond Baseball - Norwood Diamond Fall Baseball League - 14-15 Year Olds
14- and 15-year-old players will play in the Norwood Diamond Club league on full-sized diamonds. Traditionally, all games are Friday night, Saturday and/or Sunday, in Norwood, MA. Typically, each team plays two games per weekend for a total of 12 games. The games are developmental and designed to familiarize players with leading, stealing, balks and other facets of school baseball. Participating towns have included Norwood, Stoughton, Canton, Dedham, Walpole, Newton, Needham, and other surrounding towns. Teams may practice during the week at fields in Sharon.
All games will be played in Norwood.
13-year-olds may be placed in Big Diamond at the discretion of the Fall Director.
