Minors & Majors - Flex Schedule

What is the Flex-Schedule?

Flex-scheduling is an expansion of weekdays that games will be played for our Minors and Majors Divisions. Each week will be a varied pattern instead of the previous set weekday pattern. Players and families will develop a schedule that matches their baseball interest and commitment level.

Why Have a Flex-Schedule?

We’re all about making baseball more accessible, which is why we’re excited to offer a flexible game schedule! This change fits perfectly with SYBSA’s mission to help Sharon’s youth learn important life lessons through the great game of baseball. By breaking down one more barrier, we’re making it easier for more kids to join us on the diamond and get in on the fun — while also picking up valuable skills that go far beyond the game!

  • Supports Multi-Sport Athletes – Eases the pressure on Sharon athletes to choose between baseball and other sports, letting them thrive in multiple activities without the hassle.

  • Benefits SYBSA Families – The flexible schedule creates more opportunities for families with kids in different divisions to enjoy a night off from the ball fields and spend more time together.

  • Boosts Player Development – For those baseball-obsessed players, the flexible schedule offers the chance to hit the diamond 5 or 6 nights a week, giving them plenty of time to hone their skills and take their game to the next level.

How Does the Flex-Schedule Work?

SYBSA will share game schedules at least 4 weeks in advance to help families plan ahead. Any rescheduled games will be posted on our website, so be sure to check for updates. We also ask parents to keep us in the loop each week by updating their child’s game attendance on the website — it helps us keep everything running smoothly!

The Player Pool is a structured process for SYBSA managers to request alternate players when members of their team can not attend a game. All players on AAA, Minors, and Majors are part of the pool by default. Players may opt-out of the Player Pool by simply not responding to any request for additional players.
