Announcing the 2024 SYBSA Umpire Class

The SYBSA Youth Umpire Program is offered to students in 7th grade or above who would like to umpire SYBSA baseball and softball games. Register now and be officiating games, and making money, as soon as this coming spring season!

Please register for the free class via the SYBSA website (LINK HERE). The class will take place over six sessions that will be on the field (weather permitting) or in a classroom (probably at the community center, TBA).

We will have two classes a week over the next three weeks (six classes) so we can be ready in time for the Spring Season.

April 10^th, April 11^th from 5:00-6:30 pm.

April 17^th, April 18^th from 5:00-6:30 pm.

April 24^th, April 25^th from 5:00-6:30 pm.

All classes at Deborah Sampson Baseball Field (weather permitting).

FAQ:

1. Not everyone will make it to every class. Please plan to attend as many as possible with a minimum of 4 recommended.
2. The class is open to anyone in 7th grade or higher, or that wants to become an umpire - Older students, or even adults, that want to learn to umpire are welcome!
3. Baseball or softball experience is NOT required, but it does help.
4. You will need the 2024 Little League Rulebook, or you can download the 2024 Little League Rulebook App.
