Summer 2024 Williamsport & Summer Baseball Registration

Use this registration program for players to indicate their interest in Sharon's Williamsport Team to compete in the 2024 Little League World Series. Registration does not guarantee participation - see our Williamsport FAQs for more information. 

There is no charge to play on the Williamsport Team.  For 2024, we have expressed interest for teams to compete in the following divisions:

• Senior Division (LL Age: 14 – 16-year-old)
• Intermediate Division (LL Age: 11 – 13-year-old)
• Little League Division (LL Age: 10 – 12-year-old)
• Minor League Division (LL Age: 9 – 11-year-old)
• Minor League Division (LL Age: 8 – 10-year-old)

Commitment: Players will need to commit to all games and team practices, which will begin shortly after our annual Father’s Day tournament and continue into at least the second week of July.

Team selection will be determined by the League VP, Spring Season Coaches, along with the selected team coaching staff, based on a multitude of factors. The Little League World Series is the most highly competitive tournament for all of youth baseball, so we are looking to assemble a team to best represent Sharon. 

Travel Tournament Team – To be eligible to participate on a Sharon Travel Tournament team, you must register for the Williamsport Tournament team.  SYBSA intends to provide additional playing opportunities for Little League and Minor League Divisional teams beyond the Williamsport Tournament this summer.    More details on the travel tournament teams will be coming soon.

2024 Summer Registration for ages 8-15 is open to those players born between September 1, 2010 and August 31, 2015.

Uniforms (In-Town & Travel Programs):
SYBSA will be ordering the same summer uniform jersey as last year.  During registration you will be asked whether you need a new uniform jersey or not.  If yes, you will be prompted to choose a size and number.  You will also be charged an ADDITIONAL $45 for jersey that will be added to registration cost at checkout. 

Refund Policy:
Refunds will be issued for those players who end up not being rostered on a team. This includes if SYBSA does not have enough players to field a team at a particular age group.

Ages 9-12 will be separated into Level A and Level B teams based on registration numbers. 

Level A Teams:
League: Little League District 11 Summer League
Season Dates: July 14^th – Aug 2^nd
Registration Fee: $14 0; Uniform Cost: $45
Game to be played during week; Weekends may be used for rainouts.

Note: For any small division age group that we create a Tournament Team, that tournament team will be our Level A team.  Players may choose to play on the tournament team, but not the Summer Travel Program.

Level B Teams:
League: Suburban League
Season Dates: June 16^th – July 28^th
Registration Fee: $140; Uniform Cost: $45
Game to be played during week; Weekends may be used for rainouts.

There will no Level A/B teams at the Big Diamond Level. 

Proposed League: South Shore Baseball League
Season Dates: June 16^th – July 28^th
Registration Fee: $140; Uniform Cost: $45
Game to be played during week; Weekends may be used for rainouts.

Waitlist:
Registration is setup to enroll 12 players to start and then place other players on a waitlist. If you hope to enroll on a team please do so as soon as possible and DON’T DELAY.   Please don’t let the waitlist option discourage you from registering - SYBSA believes that there will be enough for more than one team. 

Note: SYBSA will continue to hold players for a second team on the wait list until enrollments if there is a Team Manager volunteer.

2024 Summer In-Town baseball is for players aged LL 7 – 9.  9-year-old players and younger who try out for Summer Travel but fail to make a travel team will be placed into this division.

The program will be a continuation of our Triple A spring division as we transition players to player pitch experience.

Session Days: Tuesdays & Thursdays
Location: Deb Sampson Complex

Note: A pitching and catching clinic may be instituted on a weekend morning dependent on coaches’ availability.
