Announcing the 2024 SYBSA Umpire Class.
This free class is designed for 7th and 8th grade students who want to become umpires for SYBSA. After the class, students will be eligible to umpire softball and baseball games for SYBSA spring, summer, and fall seasons. Please register for the free class via the SYBSA website (LINK HERE). The class will take place over six sessions that will be on the field (weather permitting) or in a classroom (probably at the community center, TBA).
We will have two classes a week over the next three weeks (six classes) so we can be ready in time for the Spring Season.
April 10th, April 11th from 5:00-6:30 pm.
April 17th, April 18th from 5:00-6:30 pm.
April 24th, April 25th from 5:00-6:30 pm.
All classes at Deborah Sampson Baseball Field (weather permitting).

FAQ:
1. Not everyone will make it to every class. Please plan to attend as many as possible with a minimum of 4 recommended.
2. The class is open to anyone that wants to come but usually it’s mostly 7th and 8th graders. Older students, or even adults, that want to learn to umpire are welcome.
3. Baseball or softball experience is NOT required, but it does help.
