Volunteer Driven

Each season, SYBSA requires many additional hands to ensure a safe program players, families, and the larger community. Please consider volunteering when registering your child. Lack of committed volunteers may force our all-volunteer organization to limit our programming. All volunteers must officially register to allow for safety checks to be completed.

SYBSA Scholarships 2023 - 24

We are excited to announce that SYBSA will be sponsoring a Scholarship award for baseball and softball alumni, for students who have attended a local high school and are planning to continue their education at a vocational school or college, two-year college, four-year college, or university, or have enlisted in a branch of the US Armed Forces.

Summer Big Diamond (60/90) Division

Description

Summer Baseball is a travel baseball league, with some games played in Sharon, and others played at various neighboring towns (typically within a 30-minute radius). SYBSA is reviewing participation in the Barnstormers and Hockomock Leagues, with member towns such as Mansfield, Norfolk, Walpole, and Easton. Summmer is often MORE COMPETITIVE than Spring Baseball. We will try our best to field as many teams as we can, but your child's registration does NOT guarantee a spot. Teams will be selected to align with chosen member leagues' rules and competition levels to insure player development and enjoyment.

To maintain an adequate playing time level, SYBSA will maintain waitlist for this program. Our waitlist should not discourage players from registering, SYBSA believes that we have demand for more than one team and will communicate our progress on regular cadence to encourage as many registrants as possible.

2023 Spring Volunteer Registration (On & Off Field!)

We need MANY volunteers to make this season happen. 

In addition to the typical call for on-field support, there are significant needs to have adult volunteers ensure that we are running a safe program for our players, families and community. 

If we do not have enough volunteers signed up, we may need to reduce the scope of our proposed season and/or cancel the season.
