Sharon Youth Baseball and Softball Association (SYBSA) Reopening Plan - 2021

This document represents the reopening plan for SYBSA, dated 8/4//2020, updated 01/10/2021. The best practices described within have been compiled from resources and direct guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) among others with a primary focus on the MA state guidelines. The guidelines listed in this document are for use during Massachusetts Phase III, Step 1 (December 13, 2020) reopening for youth and adult amateur activities. Baseball/Softball has been defined as a 'moderate risk' sport and the guidelines below are in adherence to the state's' moderate risk' guidelines. Full state guidance can be found here: https://www.mass.gov/doc/safety-standards-for-youth-and-adult-amateur-sports-activities-phase-iii-step-i-effective/download

This plan describes how SYBSA will fulfill requirements as established by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. If there is a significant update, these guidelines may be modified.

Please Note: The Reopening Plan is a "living" document that is currently being reviewed and updated based on best practices and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts guidelines. Our reopening committee and COVID Officer are currently revising and updating policies and procedures for this plan for the spring 2021 season.
