Designed to help build the beginning pitcher through drills that focus on the fundamentals of pitching. Each pitcher will be taught drills to help them develop their pitching motion. They will work through a set of drills to build the proper mechanics. The clinic is designed for pitchers in their first few years of pitching or to refine their skills. The time will be focused on learning how to maximize the use of their entire body through the pitching motion to gain speed and control. They will learn proper pitching stance, start, and rotation, finish, and follow-through, while more experienced players learn wrist snap, arm speed, leg drive, and how to develop the core to maintain control.
The pitching clinic will begin May 2 run through June 13. The clinic will be Sunday 11:30-12:30 pm, 3rd through 8th grade.
Attention! You must provide your own catcher! The catcher can be a teammate, parent, or friend. All catchers are welcome to join and work on their receiving skills.
